New York Times best-selling author and founder of this website. Helping you travel more for less since 2008.
I am the New York Times best-selling author of How to Travel the World on $75 a Day and Ten Years a Nomad, and the founder of this website! I’m here to help you save money on your next trip.
Growing up in Boston, I was never a big traveler. I didn’t take my first trip overseas until I was 23. After college, I got a job and the standard American two-weeks-a-year vacation. For that first trip in 2004, I went to Costa Rica. The experience changed my life. It opened me up to all the possibilities the world had to offer.
Since starting this blog in 2008, I’ve helped tens of millions of people travel more for less with time-tested and proven tips. By using this website, you can spend less time searching the Internet and more time doing the one thing you want to do: travel.

I believe that travel is one of the most transformative experiences a person can have. It opens minds, builds empathy, and creates memories that last a lifetime. Unfortunately, many people think travel is only for the wealthy or those with unlimited time.
My mission is to prove them wrong. Through this website, my books, and my courses, I show people that with the right knowledge and planning, anyone can afford to see the world. Whether you have a week or a year, $500 or $5,000, there's a way to make your travel dreams come true.
